A Story of Strength: ’65 Chevy Malibu SS Built by a Blind Man Who Never Stopped Following His Passion

The 1965 Chevy Malibu was a mid-size automobile produced by Chevrolet. It was part of the Chevelle lineup, which included the Malibu, Deluxe, and Super Sport models. The 1965 Malibu featured a sleek and sporty design, with a wide grille and long hood. It was offered in both coupe and convertible body styles. The base engine was a six-cylinder, but V8 engines were also available.

The Malibu was also available with options such as power steering, power brakes, and air conditioning. The 1965 model year was the first year that the Malibu was offered as a standalone model, separate from the Chevelle lineup.

Meet Mike Delaney, a determined car enthusiast who refused to let blindness stand in the way of his passion. From a young age, Mike was a fan of Chevrolet vehicles, starting with his first car, a 1969 Nova SS. He went on to own a 1955 Chevy 2-door and a 1951 Chevy pickup truck, until losing his vision at the age of 24.

Despite this setback, he did not give up on his love for cars. Years later, with his children grown, Mike decided to embark on another project, proving that nothing can truly stop a determined car lover.
