Shiny 1963 Chevy Impala SS 409 Four Speed Tribute – Sweet Engine Sound

Chevrolet created a sales winner when it unveiled the Super Sport concept in late 1960 to promote the image of the 1961 Impala. The Super Sport option package, recorded in a February 1961 update to the passenger vehicle technical standards initially published in October 1960, featured a mix of external and interior trim elements, as well as a variety of performance choices.

Exterior features included SS trunk lid and rear quarter emblems, full-size spinner wheel covers on black painted steel rims, and special heavy-duty tires, while interiors included a Sun tachometer, unique SS-badged passenger hand grip, and a chromed console plate on 4-speed cars.

Yes, this is not a real deal 1963 Chevy Impala SS, but it is a beautiful tribute, and no one is trying to fool you it is authentic either. Bright Red paint and shiny chrome combined with a set of 15-inch Cragars with knock-off caps, she’s got the looks.

The black bucket seat interior is very neat, but the best part about this 1963 Chevy Impala SS tribute is the powertrain. Rebuild 409 Big Block V8 mill paired with a 4-speed Muncie and 3.55 geared rear end, as you will see she is plenty of fun on the road.
